Job Description:

As a Legal Executive at Lex Generis, you will support our legal team in handling various tasks related to intellectual property law, with a primary focus on trademarks. You will assist with trademark filings, respond to office actions, conduct research, and help clients navigate the complexities of intellectual property law. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong legal background and a keen interest in intellectual property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of trademark applications with relevant authorities (e.g., IP India, WIPO).

• Conduct trademark searches and advise clients on the availability of trademarks.

• Draft and review legal documents, including trademark filings, agreements, and correspondences.

• Monitor and track trademark applications and renewals.

• Assist in responding to office actions and resolve issues during the trademark registration process.

• Advise clients on trademark registration processes and intellectual property rights.

• Maintain and manage trademark portfolios for clients.

• Ensure compliance with intellectual property laws and regulations.

• Assist in general legal research and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.

• Previous experience in intellectual property law (trademark law preferred) is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, trademark registration processes, and regulations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams across locations.

• Familiarity with online filing systems and trademark databases is an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
